In February, 2016 I was aiming to do five, $100 paintings a day. When I made the statement on FaceBook, I wasn’t planning on doing portraits, but this first painting got a reaction, so I ended up doing 27 portraits in a series called “The Hat” (11 X 17 on paper and canvas board).
